Battery Management System (BMS)

Our Gen 2 BMS system (EMS2) is certified as UL Recognized component per UL 2580 standard for EV battery pack.

Our 2nd Gen BMS design uses a unique distributed system design that requires a minimal wire harness for a Lithium Ion battery pack and supports up to hundreds of cells . This provides unmatched simplicity and system reliability (in contrast to hundreds of individual wires reaching to all the battery cells in typical BMS designs). This BMS systems measure temperature data from every single battery cell, which significantly enhances safety protection for Lithium Ion battery systems.

Our 3rd Gen BMS systems use traditional sense wires to minimize up-front and installation costs.  This brand new generation of BMS has been designed from the outset with UL991 requirements for safety critical applications. For the first time, this new generation of BMS adds advanced features including support for latching relays for power savings, and contactor verification for enhanced safety.

Our initial system, the EMS3A, has already been certified as a UL Recognized component per both UL1973 and UL2580. The larger EMS3B uses the same technology and is currently undergoing the same rigorous UL certification process.

The EMS3A monitors 4 cells in a 12 volt configuration.

The EMS3B monitors up to 16 cells, and is available in 12, and 24-48 volt configurations.
